Google Alerts It Will Help You Stay On Top Of Things

Today I am going to tell you about a handy IM spy tool that will help you stay on top of just about any topic of conversation that you want. It is called Google Alert and you can sign up and have Google send you an email everytime someone types in the keyword or keyword phrase that you set up an alert for.

I have alerts set up for several different keywords and keyword phrases that I am interested in, each time someone posts and it has the keyword that I have set up to be alerted about it will send me an email with the link to the post or article that has the keyword in it. Very cool and easy to set up!

If you do not have an account with Google just sign up for a Gmail account (they have a very good spam filter) and then you can begin to set up your own Google Alerts. Here is the link for Google Alerts.

Article writing today is an art, both for online media as well as offline. And very seldom does one type article work for both arenas in the same format. Below are tips for writing feature articles for offline publication and tips for writing online articles.

Writing a Feature Article

Before beginning, target a publication for your article. People in the offline world rarely want to reprint the same thing their competition does.
